Automotive Technology
Cold Hollow’s Automotive Technology program is a two-year program focused on providing students with the skills needed to enter an entry-level technician position or go on to post-secondary training. The required task list is based on the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Maintenance and Light repair curriculum. Students are also required to meet employability skills requirements, and pass multiple third-party assessments to complete the program. Opportunities for competing in events are offered through the SkillsUSA student organization.

Automotive shop safety and procedures
Tools and Equipment
Automotive chemicals and fasteners
Maintenance: lube, oil, filters, tire service
Steering and Suspension systems, (incl. alignment)
Brakes: disc, drum, anti-lock, traction control
Electrical: diagnosis, starting, charging, lighting systems, warning lights, gauges, safety devices (including air bags)
Engine theory & performance
Workplace skills: working with others, carrying out repair projects, problem solving, following directions and orders
