College & Career Benefits
College & Career Readiness is what Career & Technical Education is all about! Students in all programs have the opportunity to earn a variety of college and career benefits including:
Dual Enrollment College Credit (credits earned through embedded college courses)
Post Secondary Credit (credits earned through articulation agreements or other post secondary recognition)
Industry Recognized Credentials (professional certifications)
Professional Licensing (professional licenses)
In addition, qualifying second-year students in all programs may take advantage of work-based learning experiences through our Co-op program.
Cooperative education fosters the theory of experiential learning. Cooperative education programs establish and maintain strong collaborations (partnerships, associations) between secondary education and key members of industry. In Vermont, cooperative education is composed of four work-based learning categories: job shadow, career work experience, cooperative technical education and student apprenticeship.
