Billy Howrigan Scholarship - Deadline April 15th>>>application here This scholarship fund was established in 1999 in memory of Francis Williams Howrigan of Fairfield, Vermont. Billy was a life-long learner and an avid reader who was best known for remembering everything he read. he was a respected farmer and he admired other hard-working and honest people. Billy valued family, Vermont, and it's small communities, and rural living. His hobbies included carpentry and working with draft horses. This annual scholarship in the range of $500 or more is available to residents of Franklin County pursuing higher education, including vocation education and trade school at a post-secondary level.

Lee A Walker Memorial Scholarship Fund - Deadline May 16 >>> Lee A Walker Memorial Scholarship preference to those who have an interest in Environmental, Forestry, or Agricultural studies, but this has not been required. We look for individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities in their schools and contribute in meaningful ways to the communities in which they live. Anyone who knew Lee, knew that he was a born leader with a kind heart. He would help anyone in need. This is why we seek applicants who demonstrate these same leadership qualities in their school and community.
