Last week students from Auto 2 class went to the Montreal Auto Show to check out all of the new and exotic vehicles on display. From Cyber trucks to Corvettes, the students were able to get inside them and see what they had to offer.

Jan. 22nd Auto 1 students travelled to Georgia, VT to visit RPM Racing Engines.

They visited as part of their engine repair unit, and had a chance to see how engines are machined and fixed. Students had the opportunity to try some of the tools and see how an engine dyno worked. A bonus was the friendly pets!

This includes:
Bakersfield Elementary and Middle School
Berkshire Elementary School
Cold Hollow Career Center
Enosburg Elementary School
Enosburg Middle High School
Montgomery Elementary School

If you find yourself in a squall, please consider pulling over until it passes.

Be safe everyone!

Dear FNESU Staff, Caregivers & Community Members:
As part of a compliance requirement with USDA policy, we are working on the required triennial review of our District's Local Wellness Policy. We are required to attend to whether our policy adheres to the model policy created by the Agency of Education, as well as how our practices align with the goals outlined in the draft policy.

Below is the FNESU Draft Policy - written to closely follow the VT AOE 2024 Model Local Wellness Policy. Please feel free to give feedback regarding this policy by October 7, 2025 using this feedback form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdnr0CJfonvPNbdO5q-Kkujm98ywHQw2dZ3I4gG0i28z4LxHg/viewform.

Did you know that children can fall behind academically if they miss 10% of school days? That is as few as 2 days per month! September is Attendance Awareness Month. Join FNESU and Monarch Maples Pediatrics in their Attendance Awareness Campaign and work with us to help all kids show up. Being in school supports students’ social, emotional and physical well-being, and provides students with opportunities to learn, achieve, and to reach for their dreams. There are people at school who are available to help if your child struggles with regular attendance. Reach out for support today!

Clarification for LEAPS Summer Camp Families:

There is NO change to the hours or weeks planned for LEAPS summer camps. We will continue to transport middle schoolers and EES youth from sending schools to summer camp and back. Families from Enosburg attending the EFMHS camp have been notified directly about their transportation changes.

In observance of Independence Day, LEAPS Camp is closed tomorrow, July 4th. This was a previously scheduled day off.

Building a Respectful School Community: Our New Code of Conduct What's Happening? Our school district is creating new rules and expectations that will be the same at all schools. A team of teachers and principals wrote the first version, and now we want to hear from you before we make it final for the new school year. What is a Code of Conduct? Think of it as a handbook that explains how we should all treat each other at school. It covers students, teachers, staff, and families—everyone who is part of our school community. Why Do We Need This? When everyone knows what respectful behavior looks like, good things happen: Students learn better There are fewer problems and conflicts Kids learn important life skills like kindness and problem-solving Everyone feels safe and welcome at school What Makes This Different? Instead of just having a list of "don't do this," our Code of Conduct focuses on the positive things we want to see: Being kind and understanding to others Taking responsibility for our actions Working together to solve problems Our Goal We want our schools to be places where every person—whether you're a kindergartner or a high school senior, a parent or a teacher—feels respected, valued, and supported. How You Can Help We need your input! Please read through the draft Code of Conduct and share your thoughts using the feedback form. Your voice matters in creating a school environment where everyone can thrive.
